Wordworker Privacy Policy

WordWorker ("the App") is a vocabulary and language learning application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

- Account information: Email address and display name, if you choose to sign in.

- Usage data: Learning progress, completed sections, word sets, scores, leaderboard rankings, subscription status, and in-app preferences such as selected language and theme.

- Device and technical information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and technical data required for the App to function properly.

- Purchase-related information: Subscription and purchase status information needed to validate Premium subscriptions, restore purchases, and provide Premium features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

- Provide core app functionality.

- Save and sync your progress, scores, and preferences.

- Display leaderboards and statistics.

- Validate Premium subscriptions and restore purchases across devices.

- Improve the App, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.

- Comply with legal obligations.

3. Storage and Sharing

Your data may be stored and processed using trusted third-party service providers, including Google Firebase services such as Authentication and Firestore.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. We may disclose information only when required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid government request.

4. Subscription and Purchase Data

If you purchase a Premium subscription, purchase-related data may be processed to verify the subscription with Apple and to enable Premium features such as ad-free use, unlimited lives, and unlimited AI credits. Subscription verification may also be handled through secure backend services used by the App.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect your information. Data transmitted between the App and our services is sent over secure encrypted connections such as HTTPS.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us using the email address below. Where applicable, you may also manage certain account information directly within the App.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated within the App or through our website.
